The Rotterdamse Baan is a leading infrastructure project in The Hague. It is designed to improve the connection between Ypenburg and the city center. A crucial part of this project was the delivery and installation of a double-girder gantry crane. BKRS looked at the customer’s wishes and then started the engineering and construction of this crane.

Our Solution
Combinatie Rotterdamse Baan was looking for a solution for supplying concrete elements. BKRS came up with the delivery and assembly of a double-girder gantry crane. This crane, equipped with a hydraulic lifting clamp, played an essential role in safely and efficiently moving heavy concrete elements for the construction of the Victory Boogie Woogie Tunnel. This innovative solution allowed the project to be carried out with increased efficiency and safety.
With this project, BKRS demonstrated its expertise in providing tailor-made lifting and transport solutions for large-scale construction projects. The double-girder gantry crane ensured that the work could be carried out within the set timelines and safety standards. This further underlines the success of the Rotterdamse Baan project.

About the client
About the clientThe municipality of The Hague is working on a new connecting road between the Ypenburg junction (A4/A13) and the Centrumring: the Rotterdamsebaan. With a length of 3.8 kilometers, this road crosses the territory of the municipalities of Leidschendam-Voorburg, Rijswijk and The Hague. Part of it is a bored tunnel, the Victory Boogie Woogie tunnel, which will have two lanes twice and will be about 1,860 meters long.
