What will you do as a crane systems mechanic?

As a crane systems technician at BKRS, you are responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of our high-quality crane systems at customers’ locations or in our workshop. You’ll work on different types of cranes, such as overhead cranes and gantry cranes, ensuring that they function efficiently and safely. You analyze technical malfunctions, perform preventive maintenance and take care of the installation of new systems. Your technical knowledge and problem-solving skills contribute to the success of our projects.

 

Your tasks will include:

1. Assembling and installing crane systems at customers’ premises.
2. Carrying out maintenance and repairs on existing installations.
3. Detecting and remedying malfunctions.
4. Carrying out inspections and ensuring safety and quality.

Job requirements

  • You have experience as a (mechatronic) mechanic
  • You are a team player, representative and you have a good work mentality
  • You are solution-oriented
  • You are in possession of a BE driving licence
  • You are available full-time and you don’t have a 9 to 5 mentality. As a field service technician you sometimes work longer days (the work has to be done), sometimes you also have irregular working hours (in case of urgent malfunctions).

  • For larger projects with a long travel distance, you sometimes spend the night in a hotel near the customer (only during the week). Of course, overtime is paid in accordance with the collective labor agreement, expenses are reimbursed and you receive an extra daily allowance.
  • You start with a one-year contract that is converted into a permanent appointment if you perform well.
